    <p>I'm a software developer in <a href="https://www.skyscanner.net" rel="nofollow noreferrer">Skyscanner</a>'s <a href="https://partners.skyscanner.net/direct-booking" rel="nofollow noreferrer">Direct Booking</a> team. Designing and implementing microservices and APIs (most of them are Tornado or Sanic apps), working with <a href="http://www.iata.org/whatwedo/airline-distribution/ndc/Pages/default.aspx" rel="nofollow noreferrer">IATA's NDC standard</a>, integrating payment solutions with various providers, juggling Docker containers and getting AWS to do what we want it to do. I've got a background in IT security and am able to get a couple of things done on the frontend side of things.</p> <p>Fancy a coffee in Edinburgh or Glasgow? Just message me. I'm also always up for a nice hackathon. </p> <p>I've seen and used many languages and paradigms but fell in love with Python (3!).     1. COBy the way, this is different in iOS for `UIView`. In contrast to `NSView`, the `UIView` implentation does define a setter method for `tag`.

    2. COAccording to Apple's documentation, you need to subclass NSView (or NSTabView in your case) and implement an own `-setTag:` method. The default implementation of `-tag` returns `-1`. So there won't be any chance to set the value in Interface builder, because it cannot know your custom subclasses.

    3. COYou can try to use iOS 4.0 as deployment target. At least blocks will work. I am not quite sure what other functions specifically need 4.1, but the difference between 4.0 and 4.1 is by far smaller than between 3.0 and 4.0. Give it a try. If it compiles for 4.0, you are good to go. If it does not, use 4.1 and you are on the safe side.
