    1. COHi again ! It's been a long time since I posted the last message, but I've been really busy the end of last year... Unfortunately, I didn't manage to model friction without inertia.. If you have any idea, I would greatly appreciate your help.

    2. COThank's Marco, you're right, with this code, I was able to simulate my model, depending on what kind of source I use for it (currently I can feed the model with a displacement, but not with a force), and I think that it's the problem. I think my model should behave in a certain way as a diode : - if the applied force is less than the limit allowed, there is no relative displacement between the two flanges - when the applied force becomes greater than the limit, the force transmitted to the other flange equals this limit and there is a relative displacement between the flanges

    3. COHi Michael, Thanks a lot, actually you're right ! I was thinking in terms of converting a behaviour usually defined for stress to force, and I didn't manage to think this way, but yes, it's "only" Coulomb friction !! You're also right about your second point : I don't want inertia, and I didn't manage to get something working, even with `m=0` and `annotation (Evaluate=true)`.... I'll try to look at the code defining the `MassWithStopAndFriction` to see if I'm able to rewrite something similar but without inertia, and I'll let you know.
