<p>Even though I currently am not a developer in my main job, I guess the virus never leaves you once it has taken hold. So I develop iPhone and iPad games in my free time, with a view on perhaps taking that further (and obviously get filthy rich in the process :)). In order to aid that "getting rich" bit, here you find pointers to those apps:</p> <ul> <li><a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/groink-fun-puzzle-game-animal/id452227727?mt=8" rel="nofollow">https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/groink-fun-puzzle-game-animal/id452227727?mt=8</a></li> <li><a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/shapes-puzzle-for-youngest./id471313590?mt=8" rel="nofollow">https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/shapes-puzzle-for-youngest./id471313590?mt=8</a></li> <li><a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/letterparade-from-letters/id604721647?mt=8" rel="nofollow">https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/letterparade-from-letters/id604721647?mt=8</a></li> </ul> <p>I've found many an answer here on StackOverflow, mainly about Objective C and iPhone/iPad related subjects. I've also found Drupal answers on many occasions. My experience being that the answers here usually are much higher in quality than what I find elsewhere.</p> <p>In fact, I found so many answers here that I decided my karma made it necessary to return the gift. My specialties professionally have to do with PDF, PostScript, various Adobe and Apple applications and a whole range of publishing and printing applications. To a lesser extent HTML/PHP/JavaScript, Drupal, CSS and CASS. So that usually is what you'll see me write about.</p> <p>In the interest of full disclosure, I currently have ties to a range of companies. I try not to let those color my posts but in the interest of objectivity, here they are: callas software, axaio software, Remote Director, Elpical, Color Logic, PrintFactory, ProofMaster, Global Vision and Four Pees.</p> <p>Oh - yes, I do consulting jobs as well. Especially when they involve travel to fun countries, exciting new subjects, workflow optimisation, user interface and user experience expertise and interesting, smart and fun people.</p> <p>And if you need a guide to visit Ghent - that's always fun.</p>

    1. CONot exactly, the SDK contains the PDF file format specification that explains how to perform the uncompression. It also explains how you can use Adobe Acrobat, for example by writing plug-ins, to do many of these tasks. If all you want to do is simply look at the file structure of a PDF file, there are a number of cool tools that can do this. There was (and maybe still is) a product called Browser from Enfocus and there is pdfToolbox from callas (I'm affiliated with this company) that lets you explore the low level structure of a PDF file (including the page streams).

    2. CODepending on what you're doing by the way, watch out for viewing conditions. Humans see colors very differently in different lighting conditions (sunlight versus fluorescent lighting for example). Lighting conditions can alter very significantly human colour perception (and thus perceived colour differences). To the point where some colors may look the same under one lighting condition and different under another lighting condition (search for "metamerism" if interested).

    3. COI don't think it's a bad answer actually, given that you're trying to calculate human perception and that is also what happens in a proofing workflow. When you're making a proof you're trying to make something that looks the same as the intended final product. And "the same" is judged by humans and theoretically measured (or approximated) using this Delta E value.
