    1. COThank you for responding! My question is cryptic because I'm struggling. I want to build a family of simple card games. A program is a form of knowledge representation (an ontology). So I could simply represent what I know about the card games as a Javascript or Python program. But I really want to represent my knowledge in a form that 'looks' more natural for card games. I know that Python is good for 'little languages'. Javascript perhaps less so. Maybe someone has elaborated on my fuzzy thinking. I'll be reading what you've suggested to see what I can make of it. Thanks again.

    2. COYou're right. Sloppy thinking. Apologies. Was trying to express: it appears to me that this is not the jagged set of data one often sees in a time series and you might omit the task of identifying a complicated error structure. From the beginning of a flight keep fitting easy smooth curves until you hit the apogee, discarding outliers--which appear obvious from the plot that I made. (Are they obvious to you though?) Then, after you hit the apogee start fitting a distinct set of easy smooth curves for the rest of the flight, again discarding outliers. In this instance, spline="brain f__t"

    3. COYup, I got that. What I was hoping was that, having made just an edit box in a page displayed in IE an acceptable target (rather than the whole page) I could use jQuery or Javascript code to discern whether what had been transferred was just a URL or what looks like an .ini when you copy it into an editor (as you suggested). In short, unfortunately, the text element in an editor is able to interpret the contents of clipboard as an if they were an .ini but the text element in a edit box (in IE) cannot. Still wrong?
