    <p>I am trying to install SCCM client on a machine. I have tried remotely, I have tried manually. I have removed everything (ccm folder, ccmsetup folder) I am not sure what else to do.</p> <p>I am getting the following errors:</p> <p><strong>Right after</strong> <em>Searching for available transform</em> I get this error <strong>Failed to find resource file 'client.mst'</strong></p> <p><strong>Right after</strong> <em>CcmSetObjectSecurityInit. Applying security permissions</em> I get this error <strong>MSI: Setup failed due to unexpected circumstances The error code is 80004005</strong> *<em>Installation failed with error code 1603</em>*</p> <p>I saw a suggestion about deleting some registry keys, but I cannot find the forum that mention that again so I haven't tried it. </p> <p>The client I am trying to install is SCCM 2007 SP2</p> <hr> <ul> <li>Any thoughts would help.</li> </ul> <hr>

    1. COYour question will most likely be closed if you do not provide more details. Is your package using a "client.mst" transform or is that error unexpected? Does the package have an EXE bootstrapper or use any additional files? If it does, did you just copy the MSI and ignored the additional files?

    2. COIt does use additional files, I took all the files over with the MSI, and the package does use the client.mst. I read someone else that the problem may be that the client.mst is being copied over at the wrong time during installation which is making it unrecognized. I can provide the CBS.log if needed as well.

    3. COMST transforms are applied through the MSI command line. Are you using the correct command line when deploying your MSI. Did the original package use an EXE bootstrapper? If it did, perhaps that EXE handled the MSI command line which contained the transform.
