    <p>I will throw my name into the ring for moderator position.</p> <ul> <li><p>I am very active in the <a href="/questions/tagged/php" class="post-tag" title="show questions tagged 'php'" rel="tag">php</a>, <a href="/questions/tagged/mysql" class="post-tag" title="show questions tagged 'mysql'" rel="tag">mysql</a> and <a href="/questions/tagged/security" class="post-tag" title="show questions tagged 'security'" rel="tag">security</a> tag areas. In addition to generally looking at site in general (my favorite tag list is quite diversified)</p></li> <li><p>I have been a member for about 1.5 years, but out of that time I have visited the site nearly every single day (from my profile: 544 days, 541 consecutive). </p></li> <li><p>I have a flag weight of 589%. The only reason it's not higher is that I only tend to flag when it's really an egregious offence or in an area I can't control. Otherwise I will cast my own vote (close, delete, etc).</p></li> <li><p>I am #308 ranked by reputation all time on the site with 30,305 rep at this point. The vast majority of that rep is from answers as I have only asked 12 questions. Note: I'm not saying that I think it's worth anything either way (meaning it's good or bad), just stating it as a fact of what I've done...</p></li> <li><p>I have been involved in Open Source communities for the past 5 years to varying degrees of participation (everything from simple patches to lead developer roles).</p></li> <li><p>I participate regularly in discussions on the <a href="http://news.php.net/php.internals" rel="nofollow">php-internals</a> mailing list, so I'm abreast of the latest changes and features in the PHP world.</p></li> <li><p>I am very active on the StackOverflow chat site focusing on the PHP room. But I have been in other rooms as well with varying amount of frequency.</p></li> <li><p>I have been a lurker of Meta SO with some contributions there as well.</p></li> <li><p>I meet all requisite requirements for the position (including reputation, badges and personality requirements).</p></li> </ul> <p>In addition, I have a ninja badge from Stack Overflow (those of you who have one know what that means).</p> <p>Oh, and I love kittens, but unicorns freak me out. Oh, and <em>I'm not insane! My mother had me tested!</em>...</p>

    1. COYou are also extremely friendly, helpful and tolerant. We need more experienced users in the tags you like, and I think you'd make a great moderator, as long as you are happy to focus on the community aspect of SO.

    2. CO@Tim: I think I focus on the community already (with respect to what I think benefits it and not). I do think I would need to focus and work on community interaction and feedback a bit more, as well as participation in planning and concepts more (meaning Meta discussions). There's definitely room for improvement there...
