    <p>I have a directory in the root of my codeigniter application called <code>/css</code> it contains the file <code>style.css</code>.     1. COWell, uhm, im not really following you: this is the expected behaviour. If you link directly to a stylesheet you see the stylesheet. What else do you want it to do?

    2. COI can see the stylesheet but some reason codeigniter isn't reading it as css and adding html to the top of it.

Try moving around until you find a non-empty to-many entry and click on the label to get to one. You can move back to the root by clicking on the database name in the header.
