    <p>Only proper answer is: go and try all of them in some small example application. But as my preferences I would choose Tapestry 5.</p> <p>Ad1. It is reasonably easy to learn. Over time it gained enough materials to learn how to use it. Also user list is great and people are very responsive.</p> <p>Ad2. Probably JSF will win in the end in category of learning materials as it is java standard.</p> <p>Ad3. I wouldn't count tapestry 5 as backward incompatible. It is different framework than t4 and t3. It just happens to have same name ;) And t5 is stable and honors previous versions for over 2yrs. </p> <p>However that will be also won by JSF. It is java standard and same as java, it will be backward compatible for next 100 years.</p> <p>Ad4. That depends on who tests application and how he implements features. But here JSF comes last as fair I remember. </p> <p>Benefit of T5 is that any component library will be compatible with any other lib. That may not be true for JSF. I believe that primefaces can't be combined with icefaces or any other implementation.</p> <p>But from those 3 I used only tapestry in real project. Wicked looked nice but I just prefered Tapestry. As for JSF after 1.2 I don't wanna try new version till I will have to. Also Tapestry is just great framework that fits my need.</p> <p>Also think about your boss. They always want something with a badge of standard. That's why choosing oldest version of Struts, java 1.4 and JSF is always a good idea :/</p> <p>Regards Michal</p>

    1. COI don't have experience with any of component-based frameworks, I always developed using action based frameworks; but as I read documents I prefer Tapestry. The only problem I see is its documentations, it does lots of magic, have you encountered any problem in it? How could you find the solution? For example about dynamic forms, or dynamic validators and ....

    2. COAnother note, Tapestry 5 does lots of magic with byte-code manipulation (which other frameworks don't), have you encountered any problems and bugs with that? Are there any issues when debugging your application?

    3. COHi Amir, I've been using T5 for quite a while, and beside step learning curve, never had problems with it. Right now I'm struggiling with T5.4, but it's alpha and I'm doing a lot of .js magic on my own so it 's just a deep dive 4 me (I'm not good when it comes to .js).

A row detail

Detail views are divided into sections. All the information in the data section comes from columns in the selected row. The other sections display data from other, related rows.

Related data can be related in a to-one or a to-many fashion. Captions of data related in a to-many fashion link to a list view showing a filtered view of the table.

Try moving around until you find a non-empty to-many entry and click on the label to get to one. You can move back to the root by clicking on the database name in the header.
