    1. COConsidering you wrote SelectedGridItems (plural) I assume you want to bind a selection of multiple items in the DataGrid? If you you only want to bind the selected (single) row of the grid, it's very easy - if you want to select multiple it's more complicated.

    2. COI need to bind multiple items. But Can you tell me how to do it for single item ? My actual requirement was :http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2910873/how-to-access-data-from-another-datatemplate-in-wpf. On click of button, i wanted to pass selected items as parameters. As i didnt get any answer for this queation, i thought i wud set the selected item to a view-model property

A row detail

Detail views are divided into sections. All the information in the data section comes from columns in the selected row. The other sections display data from other, related rows.

Related data can be related in a to-one or a to-many fashion. Captions of data related in a to-many fashion link to a list view showing a filtered view of the table.

Try moving around until you find a non-empty to-many entry and click on the label to get to one. You can move back to the root by clicking on the database name in the header.
