<p>I found <a href="http://www.gavaghan.org/blog/free-source-code/geodesy-library-vincentys-formula/" rel="nofollow noreferrer">this</a> which someone created that calculates distances between two distances across the globe using one of several different methods. I had to convert the .NET project to the updated VS2008, but that seemed to work fine.
