    1. COStoring your MySQL data on a network drive is probably a super bad idea. I'm not sure if that's even supported, as the low-level IO calls might be wildly out of order without direct access to the device. In any case, MySQL needs a drive letter and path, not a network path.

    2. COmy database is actually in a centos machine, I share the folder with SAMBA, is there another way to make Windows to access the database from CentOS

    3. COThe database process and the associated files should be on the same physical machine. If you want to access MySQL remotely, why don't you just connect with your client to the right machine? I'm not sure what your goal is here.
