That then returns the object to assign to the variable linkTargetFinder. Is the variable converted to its value when it is placed into the method definition before the object is returned. Or does it continue to reference the variable created in the self executing function which I thought would be destroyed or at least out of scope after the function had returned?</p> <p>Thank you very much in advance for any help, I have tried several experiments to see if I can prove it one way or another and also had a good look around, though I am kind of unsure what to search for.</p>
