My question might be amature but still I want to know whether we can pass the HttpServletRequest,HttpServletResponse objects as arguments to the business logic methods? Is that a good programming practice ? 2. COWhile you could, you should not do that. This is because the methods that receive these params won't be reusable to handle non-request calls. For example, your method could receive the HttpRequest to get some numeric parameters and apply a finance formula from them, but what if you need to use this formula again in some other part of your project? It would be better that the servlet gets the parameters and send them (as lots of parameters or build an object with the data) to your business methods.
