    2. COI agree that this is better than net start/stop. Note that there is an option to touch services on remote machines as well.

    3. COGreat answer. But you need to be administrator to run 'SC start service'. I found a solution for that [here](http://superuser.com/questions/419194/is-there-a-way-to-allow-standard-users-to-restart-stop-start-the-print-spooler).(The accepted answer contains the solution)
