    1. COThanks Yunas, doing the `if (ABAddressBookRequestAccessWithCompletion != NULL)` check, to control whether to go into the `ABAddressBookGetAuthorizationStatus()` section of Kyle's code worked nicely for me with iOS 5 and 6.

    2. CO@Yunas But it is stopping all the threads,I mean when the alert pops up requesting user to access its contacts,the buttons are non-responsive,my app hangs up,I believe it is because of GCD dispatch_semaphore_wait
