    <p>Ok, based on the discussion in chat, it seems like the guys previously working on this code restricted the size of the individual widgets. I created a dummy dialog which resembles the one in your question. It does not restrict widget sizes.     1. COI executed your demo on different resolutions and font sizes on Windows.....and this time the layout was absolutely fine......u r right instead of restricting the size of widgets if we rely on layout itself taking care of the sizes this problem of resolution won't arise....
