According to <a href="http://jquerymobile.com/demos/1.1.1/docs/api/events.html" rel="nofollow">jquerymobile docs</a> You should be using <code>$(document).bind('pageinit')</code>, not <code>$(document).ready()</code>. More over, when using phonegap, you need to bind to `deviceready'.
